1. Pu Luong Nature Reserve

Pu Luong Nature Reserve is about 130 km northwest of the city centre. It’s located in Quan Hoa and Ba Thuoc districts. You can relax at Ba Thuoc district hotel for your travels. Pu Luong attracts a lot of tourists to visit, seeking wild nature and fascinating biodiversity. The peak of Pu Luong is over 1700m high, and is home to a place of painting, especially the  painting of beautiful mugs.

2. Sam Son Beach

Located 16km from the center of the City, Sam Son Beach receives a large number of tourists every summer. Around the beach, there are many villas and motels. Sam Son is endowed with a rich and lively natural landscape, which is Trong Mai, Doc Cuoc temple, Co Tien mountain, Truong Le mountain.

3. Hai Tien Beach

How to travel to Hai Tien? Where to book a hotel in Hai Tien beach ? Recently, tourism has not been exploited for a long time, but Hai Tien beach (located 15km from the city center) is among the top 3 most beautiful beaches in Thanh Hoa. With a long coastline, fresh air, clean beaches, still untouched scenery, and good service quality and friendly people, Hai Tien has attracted a large number of tourists.

4. Hai Hoa Beach

How to travel to Hai Hoa? Hai Hoa beach is located in Hai Hoa commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa. It’s about 40 km from the city. You can relax at the hotel in Tinh Gia district for vacation. Like Hai Tien beach, Hai Hoa beach has recently been discovered these past few years.
The landscape here is still wild with fine white sand stretching, with cool blue water, with green casuarina trees joking in the wind. When the sun rises, you will be immersed in the air. The bustling atmosphere of fishing villages when pulling nets to harvest fish, shrimp, squid.
Visitors can enjoy the fresh seafood and enjoy the salty taste of the sea at the first moment of the new day.

5. Ham Rong Bridge

Ham Rong Bridge crosses the Ma River, the bridge has a very important transport position. It’s the only railway bridge passing the Ma River. The bridge witnessed the war in the previous decades and became a symbol of the will and resilience and strong will of Thanh Hoa province.

6. Ho Dynasty Citadel

The citadel of the Ho Dynasty was the capital city of Dai Ngu (the Vietnamese name of the Ho Dynasty). This is a fortified citadel with a unique large-scale unique stone architecture in Vietnam, the most valuable and unique, the only remaining in Southeast Asia. It’s a great combination in Vietnam for a tour adventure to Pu Luong & Ho Citadel. The Ho Citadel is recognized as a World cultural heritage.

7. Cam Luong God Fish Stream

Cam Luong fish stream, also known as Ngoc stream, is located at the foot of Truong Sinh mountain, Luong Ngoc village, more than 80km northwest of Thanh Hoa city. The magic fish stream is just over 100m long, about 4m wide but there are thousands of fish gathered with very strange colors.

8. Ben En National Park

Known as “Ha Long Bay on land” in Thanh Hoa, Ben En National Park is located about 36km from the city center. Ben En National Park has hilly terrain, many rivers, streams and lakes on the mountain with an area of 3000 hectares with 21 islands in the middle of one of the most beautiful national parks in Vietnam. The ecosystem here is especially very rich.

9. Dong Son Ancient Village

The former Dong Son village belongs to Dong Giang commune, Dong Son district (Thanh Hoa). Now it belongs to Ham Rong ward, Thanh Hoa city. This is a famous old village on the south bank of the Ma River, next to Ham Rong Bridge, where the typical elements of a traditional Vietnamese village converge.

The Lam Kinh area in Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa, is a special national relic that has kept mysterious tales about the most flourishing feudal reign in Vietnam’s history.
Lam Kinh accommodates the tombs of Emperors and members of the royal family of the later Le Dynasty. 
In Lam Kinh, visitors can also enjoy a walk in a beautiful forest with giant trees dating back to 600 years ago.
The Lam Kinh Festival that is held annually on the 22nd day of the eight lunar month, the death anniversary of Le Loi is one of the most important festivals of Thanh Hoa province.

11. May Waterfall

100 km from the capital Hanoi and right at the border with Cuc Phuong National Park lies the most magnificent waterfall of Thanh Hoa Province – the waterfall of May (meaning Cloud in English).
May Waterfall has more than ten cascades, that naturally descend over 400 meters from a terraced paddy field. As its name implies, the waterfall looks as if it is wearing a cloudy hat of mist and an evergreen coat of surrounding trees.
The ideal time to see May Waterfall is in August when it is sunny. You can camp by the waterfall or stay with the local inhabitants to enjoy fully this site. The local cuisine is also very special to taste.
